Welcome to CHEERS! We want you to know all about the good stuff that the Fernwood Youth Group does.

For starters, allow us to explain why the youth group is called CHEERS. There are two reasons. First is because the letters in CHEERS stand for Christ Helps Everybody Everywhere Regardless of Sin. In other words, God promises to love all of us no matter what. The second reason for the name CHEERS is because of the lyrics to the TV show of the same name –"Sometimes you wanna go Where everybody knows your name. And they're always glad you came. You wanna go where you can see Our troubles are all the same. You wanna be where everybody knows your name."

Our goal is that CHEERS be a place where these lyrics come to life for people in junior and senior high school.

Our job is to help youth grow closer to God, to give youth opportunities to share God's love with others, and to guide youth in discovering the wonderful person God has made each of them. We have weekly Bible studies, youth activities and Sunday School.
